Effectively we would have a duopoly with China and the ‘west’ (ie: Lynas and MP combined) where they would have enough market share to dictate prices. If China wanted to continue to give their material away that’s ok but we don’t have to and there are no apparent other competitors in the free world that would step up with the same strategy as China because who would finance them!
