So Lynas is appealing the AELB’s new license condition to remove the WLP residue by Sep 2019, under advice from Yeo Bee Yin as the minister of MESTECC, only to have the appeal reviewed by Yeo Bee Yin.
Next step will be Yeo rejecting Lymas appeal and then Lynas appealing the Ministers decision in court. Lynas will need to seek an injunction against the ministers decision first of all and then appeal via judicial review. Long drawn out process that could take up to 16 months to resolve.
