Couple of points Q1 23 is ahead of Q1 22 so I would expect that Beter volume is easy (realy surprised AL only says equal are there other problems) the question is how will REE prices effect Revenue and profits.
2022 has only 2 months left. Do you see any equipment to fed or remove product from the Kiln? Do you see anything to separate REE carbonate from the waste. Take a look at all the drying equipment at Mt weld this needs to be dried as well. where are the dryers? The kiln is pretty, I see no other equipment installed, any where. Some places they are still erecting steel to hold the equipment. Do you realy expect first feed of even test sand in two months. I doubt it. Would be amassed if it happens in 6 months, April.
When Lamp came on line they showed techs in control room running simulations for the plant on the FA system almost 3 years before first product.. This always impresses people and I am sure AL will do the same when control room is finished.
Pretty pictures are always impressive. I learned years ago when shown pictures of progress to look for what is not they're not at what is. I do the same for MP. JMO This plant is way behind. You are correct and I will even except cold sand and water being the first feed of Kiln. What do you see in pictures that they will be able to do this.
I expect they will first put water through to find leeks. Then cold sand and water to look for clogs and othe problems. They gradully bring up temp to see effects of expansion. Rember lamp all sort of joints losened up and broke when they first tried a warm up. Now i am sure they will do much better with experience.
I worked for Foxborough controls as engineering director. We did many systems for cracking towers. the petroleum industry allows 2 to 3 years for stating a Cracking tower. Now when operational they have tons of petrol at very high Temp and pressure so it is not the same. But it does say problems should be expected and planned for. Something I do not think AL fully understands since the biggest thing she ever oversaw before all of this was NEXT. I have no problem with her not getting it. I have a major problem with her thinking she and her current staff could handle it all.
