I think the Malaysians just made a fatal mistake by pulling the rug out from under Lynas. Who will trust them now?
It was repeatedly proven that the radioactivity in the waste from leaching and concentration is far less than international safety norms as determined by the IAEA.
Further, the tailings from Malaysia's massive tin mining operations are far more radioactive.
I doubt the RE supply chain will now move to Malaysia. There is a fundamental lack of trust.
