Well noted Torpy, Gallium and Germanium are not part of the rare earth section of the Periodic Table. Why everyone has been linking restrictions with these metals to Rare Earth restrictions is beyond me. They have nothing to do with each other. I still fail to see why China would want to restrict RE exports anyway. If they were to restrict anything, it would be the magnets. That would really hurt.
