Macarthur Minerals (ASX:MIO) appoints RCR Mining Technologies for Lake Giles transport solution

• Macarthur Minerals (MIO) has appointed RCR Mining Technologies (RCR MT) to design a 'Helix Dumper' transport solution for the Lake Giles Iron Project in WA
• This will assist in transporting magnetite concentrate — grading at least 65 per cent iron — from Lake Giles to the Port of Esperance
• The company will employ the Helix Dumper unloading system and Helix Dumper wagons, which are owned and developed by Kiruna Wagon in Sweden
• The Kiruna Wagon has effectively transported heavy loads of magnetite concentrate and is said to have several advantages over conventional dumpers
• Now, Macarthur is working with the Southern Ports Authority to gain access to a storage shed and potentially develop the system at the Port of Esperance
• Company shares are currently trading flat at 21 cents
