News: MacPhersons Resources appoints non-executive director

MacPhersons Resources (ASX:MRP) has appointed Orion Mine Finance portfolio manager and representative Peter Rozenauers as a non-executive director.

Orion Mine Finance had increased its stake in the company to 19.9% after subscribing for $6.3 million worth of shares under the recent $8.8 million capital raising.

Rozenauers has over 25 years of experience in the natural resources and finance industry.

Prior to joining Orion, he was a senior investment manager for Red Kite Group’s Mine Finance business.

Before joining Red Kite in 2012, he was managing director and Head of Asian Commodities Distribution for Barclays Capital in Singapore, a leading commodity global investment bank.

MacPhersons chairman Ashok Parekh said Rozenauers’ experience in the resource sector – in particular in corporate finance and banking for natural resource projects – would be invaluable as “we complete the Feasibility Study on the Nimbus silver-zinc-gold project and advance the project towards production”.
