Good news.
Whilst I'm sure Theo did a fine job, he is best served in ASX:INL (where he is now). He is an accountant, similarly Mr Uno Makotsvana who is also a chartered accountant, but has worked in Deloitte (for 10yrs) which is one of the biggest companies in that industry.
Also Mr Makotsvana might even know the Angolan counter parts, probably even met them before, Mr Makotsvana was the director of Afrocentric Capital Private Limited (an investment and advisory firm with a focus on Sub-Saharan Africa) for about 4yrs.
The role that Mr Theo Renard had as CFO and Secretary is now split, (presumably because of the bigger work load which is about to befall the company). Now Ms. Cate Friedlander is the General Counsel and Company Secretary, so you can bet your bottom dollar things will not go unnoticed, and she has been the counsel for other oil and gas companies before, so she knows the deal.
It is without a doubt a positive change, especially the split of Secretary/CFO.
Also.... I don't really want to start any conspiracy theories, but... if you did want to be acquired or merge with Sonangol, you would possibly want a lawyer with experience:
And if they merge... it would be at top dollar... sooo what is the NPV? Maybe $0.25/share at the moment, possibly more after flow testing? yikers.....
