    This is great news for MDI.

    Their strategy has been to recommission the Sandstone gold operation, which is likely to be confirmed in their Feasibility Study to be released later this year. Exploration of these leases requires capital, so they will likely exercise these leases in 2021 once they see revenue from Sandstone.

    The location of these leases is highly prospective for copper and gold, and places MDI in the neighbourhood of Newcrest Mining and Rio Tinto.

    This move gives MDI a whole different dimension. It will be a radically different company in 12 months time.
