Non-executive directors don’t make decisions? Normally your ignorance is a source of gentle amusement to me but this one caused a belly laugh.
As this but of ignorance may actually damaging for the uninformed, I will correct it.
An executive director also has day-to-day management responsibilities. In other words, is also an exec in the company as well as being a director on the board.
A non-exec director is a director only, attending meetings and subcommittees as needed.
All directors vote in the boardroom and provide leadership, amongst other benefits like facilitating funding, for a company. Mitchum, your ignorance, whether intentional or inherent, is astounding.
