News: Metals X hits thick, high grade gold in the Northern Territory

  1. Metals X (ASX:MLX) has intersected thick zones of high grade copper, gold, bismuth and cobalt at the first two holes of the current drilling program at its wholly-owned Rover 1 prospect in the Northern Territory.

    The remaining five holes in the program will be drilled at the end of the wet season.

    The second hole at the prospect returned 20.87 metres at 14.5 grams per tonne gold, 6% copper, 0.22% bismuth and 0.08% copper from 836.3 metres.

    This include a bonanza core of 5.27 metres at 48.3g/t gold, 9.45% copper, 0.3% bismuth and 0.06% cobalt.

    The first hole intersected an 85 metre downhole zone of magnetite alteration and wispy gold and copper results, typical of being on the edge of the ore system.

    Best results were:

    - 1 metres at 7.73g/t gold, 0.32% copper, 0.49% bismuth from 806 metres;
    - 4.65 metres at 0.78g/t gold, 1.38% copper, 0.045% bismuth from 819.35 metres; and
    - 5.9 metres at 0.02g/t Gold, 1.49% copper, 0.01% bismuth from 872 metres.
