The owner of IGA supermarkets Metcash Limited (ASX:MTS) has announced its CEO Supermarkets Fergus Collins will leave the company after 13 years.Until the positioned is filled Metcash’s Group CEO Ian Morrice will take on the day to day running of the supermarket’s business.The grocery wholesaler says this decision has been made to ensure the momentum of its transformation is maintained with a focus on improving underlying performance.To support the changes the group’s corporate functions will report to Chief Financial Officer Brad Soller.Metcash reported a net profit of $102 million in the first half of the 2015 financial year.
