Anyway, without quoting Sun Tsu, Madam Wang or Louise, I can tell you why this poll result of 87% is useless and simply waste of money.
Why?
Not only because the issued were hijacked by LtG/greens but also because:
Opinions change along with time and circumstance, I suggest Lismore Council LGA (a small population in NSW anyway) to conduct the same poll with ALL who participated in the first poll, every quarterly for the next 10 years. Failing to do so would be like if ALP now claiming to be as popular as it was back in 2007 with Mr K.R.
That's just one of many reasons why such poll should not be used and quoted to justified your motives or actions. It might have worked for two weeks for LtG and local media, but seriously...
