I too find buybacks a bit controversial...
In this case I feel it was used wisely, buying them at the lows and now it seems, it has ceased, as it should. It may be worth thinking that funds raised at $5 were used to buy stock under $3, so, quite a value proposition but, I do agree with your thoughts on debt.....something we hope they are mindful of.
Separately, MGH made the local news with its plans to build a shopping centre in South Dubbo....a project basically at their backdoor and no doubt a prime example of vertical integration. Though, I'm unaware of whether the plan is to own/ manage on completion or move it on....the value of the project is around $25m
