China’s Minmetals Resources has extended its offer for Anvil Mining Limited (ASX:AVM) until January 11, 2012.
Minmetals launched its $1.3 billion friendly bid for the Africa focused copper miner in September.
The offer was initially due to close tomorrow but has been extended to resolve a dispute regarding leasing contracts between Anvil and the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s government.
In the 2010 financial year Anvil Mining reported a net profit of $22 million.
