- Notes announcement on 25 oct by metro mining regarding gulf alumina, which is currently subject of recommended acquisition proposal by moly
- Moly notes that metro has currently only signaled its 'intention' to make an offer
- Does not believe that metro proposal satisfies criteria of a 'superior proposal' as specified in offer implementation agreement
- Will continue to progress its offer in accordance with offer implementation agreement
- Also unclear whether metro proposal in its current form will ever satisfy those requirements
- Does not intend to make any further response to metro stated intentions at this stage.
