Funding will increasingly become a problem for all businesses like MPO with rising interest rates around the world due to scarce capital. It makes sense for MPO to hive off Canadian interest & make this self funding. This means that MPO splits its capital raisings into smaller chunks (at an increased cost) which should be easier to raise.
Funds realised from IPO will not be available til March 2011 so cash flow control from now on will be critical. I suggest we carefully watch how the company expends its remaining cash or be prepared for more capital raising in new year.
