Believe me when I say most of these companies have no idea what they're doing and no idea how to scale security with consultants they hire (which end up overwhelmed and unsupported in their roll-out). This is going to take a long time and a big culture change (for the software development) for this to happen. Kinda like most things. The Australian industry is rather immature in comparison to the silicon valley state of things.
