case in point :
I personally bought my CSL shares in 2013 at $58
for 2022 CSL paid me $3.22 per share in dividends
that's a dividend yield on my purchase price of 5.55%
low yielding stock, huh ?
not to mention the capital growth, about 400%
but had I bought WBC in 2013 at around $30, I'd be sitting on capital losses
and receiving a dividend yield in 2022 on my purchase price of only 4.16% ( plus franking ).
don't get fooled by so called high yielding stocks.
MQG is another great example.
