ROME, April 18 (Reuters) - Telecom Italia TLIT.MI (TIM) has received two new offers from the rival groups seeking to buy its landline grid and submarine cable unit Sparkle, the Italian phone group said on Tuesday, as the deadline it had set for improved bids passed.
TIM gave no details on the non-binding bids, adding that its board would review them on May 4.
According to two sources close to the matter, Italian state lender Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP), together with Macquarie (MQG) , offered 19.3 billion euros ($21.18 billion) for the asset.
A rival bid from KKR KKR.N amounts to 21 billion euros, including 2 billion euros in earnout, another source close to the matter said. ($1 = 0.9114 euro)
