    yeah but I guess they are comparing sales to similar 4 months or so last year- in that time we are supposed to have had good growth, but then inflation running at 6% or so on food - so it also includes great growth in Total tools since those 4 months a year ago, but also more stores- so really they're pretty ordinary figures , a real decline of sorts in many ways

    they NEED to RATIONALISE their brands -thrifty link and true value hardware definitely not worth keeping both , and even HOME Hardware in its death throes or should be - they can then put more effort into their top brands

    Supa Valu and Friendly Grocer got to be a question mark

    Thirsty Camel , ALM and Porters should also be looked at with the idea of getting rid of two or three
