Nanosonics Limited (ASX:NAN) has expanded its influence in North America with a direct sales operation to push sales of trophon EPR.The infection control company says it already has a sales team of six in North American but this will be boosted by fifteen extra staff.GE Healthcare will continue as a key non-exclusive partner distributing trophone EPR.Revenues from direct sales are expected to grow steadily as the full sales team comes into effect.CEO Michael Kavanagh says the new sales model allows Nanosonics to leverage its expertise in infection control whilst GE Healthcare continues to leverage its leadership position and strength in the ultrasound market.Nanosonics reported a net loss of $2.6 million in the 2014 financial year.
