Jan 25 (Reuters) - Australia's Newcrest Mining (NCM) said on Wednesday second-quarter gold production fell 2.8% sequentially, hurt by lower mill throughput at its Lihir mine and temporary suspension of operations at Brucejack.
The country's largest gold miner said it produced 512,130 ounces (oz) of the precious metal in the three months to Dec. 31, compared with 527,115 oz in the September quarter and a Citi estimate of 552,700 oz.
