Very sombre mood here for what looks like a positive result from the biggest GOLD miner on the ASX - in line with upper end of guidance. Interesting - had a glance at NST which also looked very good and much more "upbeat" - but I note that NCM produced almost as much gold out of Cadia 843k (one mine) as NST total 900k. at a very different cost.....more raza mataz over on NST, but NCM mine life, resources and reserves are second to none! and in ASX terms in a different league. Both great results which should "lift all boats". The exploration update posted today also looks very positive. With GOLD about to break out to all time highs I am would expect more optimism .….at some point the broader market will get interested and ask "who has the biggest reserve / resource base?", because its sale value is now worth 50% more than just 18 months ago, and rising by the day!
