I didn’t say what there is more of in the battery I said which thing was in short supply. The battery anode is made of metal ion and the cathode of carbon. The carbon is in the form of graphite and there is no shortage of that. Of the anode metals they are Nickel Aluminium Lithium and Cobalt. Some of these can be replaced with each other and some cannot. cobalt is critical Nickel and Aluminium are not in short supply. cobalt is primarily a byproduct of some nickel deposits (see Clive Palmers Yabulu refinery red mud tails cobalt) but the vast majority of primary cobalt is from the Democratic Republic of Congo and in real bad supply due to war etc. So, it’s Cobalt that’s the supply problem. And if you don’t believe me just read what Elon Musk has to say about it.

I love having Elon around, he is a great character. Makes this world much more exciting. I wouldn't buy Tesla stock, but I give the guy credit for pushing the envelope and shaking up the status-quo.
