I have done quite a bit of professional photography over the years, and have learnt a bit about pushing the physical limits of the visible light section of the electromagnetic spectrum.


This low orbit satellite tech would. be a problem if we were living in a vacuum, ie no atmosphere. Shooting visible and IR light images through the earths atmosphere is very challenging.

One reason canon does not sell many 1200mm telephoto prime lenses, is that the distortion when shooting terrestrially makes it pretty useless.

Low altitude aerial is the only physically feasible way to shoot high res.

Composites of many satellite images to improve resolution sounds like getting blood from a stone, or alchemy, or perpetual motion, but would welcome any evidence to the contrary.
