From memory Nearmap averages ~$600/year/seat for Aus national access (for businesses).
But I don't think the numbers are necessarily comparable since that "Super Metro" covers 30 metro areas, and US costs may well be different to flying in Aus.
What is exciting is that Nearmap can at least start by cherry picking metros.
And Nearmap's use of AWS makes it technically easier to scale into new geographies. With the old setup where they had DCs in Perth and Sydney they would have had to roll out similar infrastructure (i.e. capex + lead time) in each new geography. With AWS... AWS is in every region we care about, and the PAYG model makes it easier for Nearmap to scale gradually and as demanded by customers.
