Newly appointed National Australia Bank Limited (ASX:NAB) chief Andrew Thorburn has announced a new executive leadership team on his first day in the role.Angela Mentis will be group executive, business banking. She was previously executive general manager of NAB business banking.Antony Cahill has been appointed Group Executive Product and markets, David Gall will be Group Chief Risk Officer while Renee Roberts will take the role of Group Executive, Enterprise services and transformation.The roles are subject to regulatory approval but each will take their roles immediately.Mr Thorburn says he understand the need to deliver better returns for shareholders, and that they’ll do this by focusing on customers and building a stronger Australian and New Zealand franchise.NAB reported a net profit of $2.9 billion in the six months to the end of March 2014.
