Ignore the fact that it was an Islamic nut job who was allowed to attack innocent people because the government couldn't risk offending Islam.
Instead punish everybody to avoid pointing that finger at the source of the problem and make everyone guilty to protect the minority.

Next will be an amnesty to allow everyone to hand in their knives and scissors so they can't hurt anyone but with an exemption for Muslims because their religion tells them they need them and why.
