Nufarm Ltd (ASX:NUF) has forecast revenue from its seeds business to double within three years and says it is on the hunt for acquisitions within the industry.
Speaking at an investor conference CEO Doug Rathbone advised that growth within the seeds division will offset weaker weedkiller chemical sales.
The farm chemicals supplier has forecast that most of its full year earnings will be delivered in the second half, depending on climatic conditions and the pricing environment.
In the first six months of 2011 Nufarm recorded a net profit of $4.4 million.
