Shifts Available:

• Monday-Friday | 3pm-11:30pm
• Sunday-Thursday | 11pm-7:30am

Job Status: Full-Time

POSITION SUMMARY

The Furnace/Mill Operator is responsible for the operation of their assigned production/pilot heat treatment equipment.

Essential Functions:

• Monitors furnace through reading gauges
• Documents data in Excel spreadsheet.
• Follows SOPs and safety procedures
• Assists in the replacement of parts and preventative maintenance.
• Maintains logs of readings.
• Identifies potential issues with assigned equipment.
• Maintains clean work area
• Assists and supports management in commissioning and startup of new equipment.
• Other duties as assigned

• Able to develop, schedule, plan, implement and executive projects

• Ability to think critically and troubleshoot
• Must be able to wear half face respirator as needed
• One year Forklift Experience (preferred)

Education:

· High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Experience:

• Aptitude for math, problem-solving, computes, and mechanics
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work and communicate well with others
• Proficiency with hand tools
• Willing to perform repetitive tasks for extended period.
• One-Year in manufacturing environment handling machinery

Computer Skills:

• Microsoft Outlook

WORK ENVIROMENT

Work is performed primarily in plant but travel to other Plants may be required. Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors. The noise level in the work environment is noisy.
