Nyota Minerals (ASX:NYO, LON:NYO) has had its Brantham and Towchester annual licences in western Ethiopia renewed and added it was mulling new opportunities in gold and other commodities.
Meanwhile, the mining licence application for the mechanised mining of the Abay River (or Blue Nile) gravel terraces is being considered by the ministry of mines.
The main aim is to regenerate the group following the disposal of the Tulu Kapi project and the distribution of its shareholding in KEFI Minerals shares to eligible Nyota shareholders, the firm told the update.
"The directors continue to review new opportunities as they arise. These include new projects inside Ethiopia and elsewhere and in a variety of commodities," it added.
Nyota shares eased 13.64% to 0.095p.
