News: NZ central bank governor says not ruling out negative interest rates

    WELLINGTON, April 16 (Reuters) - The Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) Governor Adrian Orr said on Thursday that negative interest rates is not off the table in its response to the economic fallout of the coronavirus crisis.

    Orr said it was only the "end of the beginning" for monetary policy. He was speaking to lawmakers at a parliamentary committee on New Zealand's economic response to the coronavirus.
