News: NZ job ads slip in January, but annual rise is highest in six years - ANZ

    WELLINGTON, Feb 2 (Reuters) - Job advertisements in New Zealand dipped 0.2 percent in January from the previous month after 16 consecutive increases, a survey by ANZ Bank showed on Thursday.

    The index remained elevated, up 19.6 percent on the year, the biggest annual rise since 2011.

    Data released on Wednesday showed New Zealand's unemployment rate jumped 0.4 percentage points to 5.2 percent as more people flooded the workforce in the fourth quarter.
