WELLINGTON, Jan 19 (Reuters) - Manufacturing activity in New Zealand stabilised in December after two months of losses, a survey showed on Thursday.

The Bank of New Zealand-Business NZ's seasonally adjusted Performance of Manufacturing Index (PMI) was 54.5, the same reading as the previous month when it dropped 0.7 points to a 13-month low.

A reading above 50 indicates an expansion in activity, while anything below that threshold indicates a contraction.
