Is it possible that shortsellers may have also noticed our incompetent BOD and may be using selling bots (ie computerised trading techniques) to sell shares in order to exploit the fear among the real investors...? Hmm interesting theory.
Short selling is the sale of a share that is not owned by the seller, or that the seller has borrowed. Short selling is motivated by the belief that a security's price will decline, enabling it to be bought back at a lower price to make aprofit.
Thats right guys - apparently these guys borrow the shares from brokers etc then trade them down in order to buy the cheaper share later. Then repaying the broker/person they borrowed them from originally and pocketing the difference. They need a bad management and fearful shareholders to succeed.
They do however have a limited time in which to repay these borrowed shares. If the price starts going up for good then they are in big trouble and must sell quickly as their loses will become exponential.
Interesting theory, it would explain the continued flatline/decline of our little company.
But don't worry guys it is easy to fix this - 1) Don't panic and sell your shares
2) Let's stick together and get rid of the BOD
Once we have a competent management team on board then the price will start to rise (for good) and the little short selling guys can move onto someone else or they will lose a LOT of money.
2cents for OGX? Go somewhere else before you lose a lot of money you little parasites.
Time for the BOD to go - by my calculations we need 25 million shares (5%) to get the ball rolling.
