I previously drew attention to the 150,000 + shareholders, and that given the substantial discount of the SPP to the SP the likelihood that subscription to the SPP would be greater than the norm - 25%. I am dumbfounded that only half the shareholders applied (the other half must have been asleep or possibly those with negligible holdings).
That said I think that the usual scale back approach will be taken. I suspect that they will set an amount at which applicants would be filled in full, say 100 shares ( $1070 of application monies) and that beyond that a matrix of size of application versus size of current holding. It's going to be interesting. In terms of what we may get it is worthwhile having a look at the spread of shareholders whom hold shares and seeing where you may rank.
from the 2012 report
size of holding
up to 1,000 shares 96,244 holders
1,000-5,000 shares 57,639 holders
5,000-10,000 shares 6187 holders
10,000 -100,000 shares 3047 holders
good luck to all.
