Invest, one would think this reasonable. However a number of companies tend to go early on the basis that sometimes they get lucky. I know of one small outfit that has attempted a CE mark with 3 different noticed bodies in the EU.
Some are known to be a little easier than others, albeit there are a limited number with the sort of experience that this product would require.
