It was ryrie12 who gave us the heads up about the AFR article about the appointment of Merrill Lynch and hence the takeover. Thanks mate. The way I read this there is no agreement. OBS could be trying to flush out SEMAFO's final offer. They are running out of funds, the project is stalling and they have been left with few choices. Ball on SEMAFO's side of the court at the moment. Interesting to watch. Can't see them walking away, still more tricks that can be played. Depends how big the placement is, they might decide to keep their offer in play even with the placement. Just some thoughts.
