Origin Energy Ltd (ASX:ORG) has struck a deal with Service Stream Ltd (ASX:SSM) worth over $300 million to pursue market growth in residential solar energy systems.
The two year agreement involves Origin providing around 48,000 residential solar installations to Service Stream who will then complete the installations.
Service Stream says it will continue to provide installation support to Origin's customers.
The installation targets are however are based on the assumption that state and federal government legislative environments continue to support residential solar demand.
Origin Energy generated a net profit of $680 million in the 2010 financial year.
