July 20 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 1330 GMT on Tuesday:
** Billionaire investor Bill Ackman will buy up to 10% of Vivendi's VIV.PA Universal Music Group through his main hedge fund, rather than a special purpose acquisition company, after investors and regulators questioned his use of a SPAC.
** SPX Flow FLOW.N rejected Ingersoll Rand's IR.N sweetened $3.59 billion takeover offer that the U.S. industrial equipment maker had proposed to strengthen its foothold in the food and beverage industry.
** Oil Search (OSH) rejected an unsolicited takeover proposal from Santos Ltd (STO) valuing the Papua New Guinea-focused oil and gas producer at A$8.8 billion ($6.5 billion), but both companies said they wanted to pursue further talks.
** French luxury group LVMH LVMH.PA said it will buy a 60% stake in its star menswear designer Virgil Abloh's Off-White steetwear label and expand his role within the spirits-to-jewellery conglomerate.
** The prospect of a bid battle for Morrisons MRW.L lessened after one of the private equity group's stalking the British supermarket group said it would not pursue a solo offer.
** U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren has asked the Federal Trade Commission to take a tougher look at defense industry mergers, questioning a proposal from Lockheed Martin that would allow it to buy the biggest independent maker of rocket motors, Aerojet Rocketdyne Holdings.
** France's telecom firm Orange ORAN.PA has submitted an expression of interest to participate in the ongoing partial privatisation of Ethiopia's Ethio Telecom firm, Ethiopia's ambassador to Paris said on Twitter.
** ChargePoint CHPT.N , one of the world's largest electric vehicle charging networks, said it has agreed to acquire operating software firm has.to.be for 250 million euros ($295 million) to expand its foothold in the European market.
** ABB ABBN.S has bought Spanish robot maker ASTI Mobile Robotics Group in the Swiss engineering company's latest move to diversify its robotics business beyond its traditional automotive base.
** Enel ENEI.MI is in final negotiations to buy hydroelectric and gas assets from Italian renewable energy company ERG ERG.MI , beating rival offers from competitors including France's Total, daily Il Sole 24 Ore said.
** Italy's Snam SRG.MI is set to make a binding offer to buy 11 biogas plants from Asja Ambiente group, giving the renewable energy company an enterprise value of 350 million euros ($413 million), daily Il Messaggero said.
