My trading pattern is probably one that the top analysts wouldnt reccommend. However having said that when i do buy huge volumes,i put in heaps of research to give me the confidence to do so and thats where good money can be made. Sure when it heads south you lose big, but if you believe in that stock regardless of daily movements you stick to your guns.
I also found that during the Aug/Sept/Oct/Nov period, the volitility made it a great time for daytraders particulary buying in the last 20mins of every day and particulary Friday's as I found people werent willing to hold over weekends out of fear for what may happen in the US.
