Speaking generally, I think reducing (but not selling out of) banks at the moment to take profits is on balance a good thing. They still may go higher but they are undoubtedly high. I am not buying banks at the moment and am selling to become underweight or less overweight in banks and have been doing this for a while so I have missed some profits but have also booked a lot of profit.
