We get caught up in the day to day movement of the SP....ahhh...

We get caught up in the day to day movement of the SP....ahhh who am I kidding...the hour to hour movement...but if we are longer term holders...then it is the results that YOU mention that we need to reflect on. ie what has our SP ultimately done from inception, from IPO...till today.
This is what maters for the longer term investor.

Sure you can punt and get in and out if you are nimble, if you are a nostradamus...I would have love to have sold even just 20% of my holdings at $4...and then buy back in at $1.15...and then sell again at $3...but who is to know these nimble turning points? Not I.


Nah..I sit and hold for 3 years...for 5 years and some (decent) chunk for even longer than this, subject to take over (it better not happen). I know what is coming, what are the chances of real success and what this could mean in the super long term..
These are the time frames I can rely on and what works for me.
