Financial services group Perpetual Limited’s (ASX:PPT) fund management arm has launched its first listed investment company.Perpetual Equity Investment Company Limited (ASX:PIC) will aim to deliver regular income and long-term capital growth through domestic and global opportunitiesThe company will invest in Australian listed securities with a mid-cap focus and up to 25 per cent in global listed securities.The portfolio’s structure also has the ability to manage risk by moving up to 25 per cent of net asset value into cash, deposit products and senior debt.Perpetual Equity Investment Company’s offer period is expected to open on October 21 and close on November 28 with a minimum raising target of $150 million.Perpetual reported a net profit of $82.4 million in the 2014 financial year.
