COMPANIES STELLANTIS STLAM.MI The carmaker's CEO Carlos Tavares said on Wednesday a production target of one million vehicles in Italy it is discussing with Rome was well within reach, but it could not be a one-sided commitment and the government must support it.
The company's revenue and operating profit grew in the first half to beat estimates, with Tavares saying it would have to accelerate cost cutting to keep profitability strong in a more challenging pricing environment.
ENEL ENEI.MI Italy's biggest utility has agreed to sell 50% of its renewable business in Greece to Australia's Macquarie Asset management in a deal worth around 345 million euros ($382 million), the company said on Wednesday.
Enel on Wednesday also confirmed its targets for full-year core earnings and net income under new Chief Executive Flavio Cattaneo.
CAMPARI CPRI.MI The Italian drinks group posted on Wednesday a 14% rise in like-for-like revenues in the first half of this year and confirmed its margin target for 2023, but its shares retreated on disappointment over the figures.
NEXI NEXII.MI Italy's Treasury will chair at 1500 GMT on Thursday a meeting with banks, payment providers and retailers to sign off on a deal to soften fees on small digital transactions, sources said, after Italy's Antitrust body blessed the agreement last week.
The deal will allow Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to remove the threat of a windfall tax on proceeds from card payments worth up to 30 euros.
SAIPEM SPMI.MI The oil service company said on Wednesday its first-half net result swung to a profit of 40 million euros, from a loss of 130 million euros in the same period a year ago.
MONCLER MONC.MI Sales at the Italian luxury group rose 24% at constant exchange rates in the first half of the year, thanks to a strong rebound in Asia and solid growth in the EMEA region, the company said on Wednesday.
TOD'S TOD.MI The Italian leather goods group on Wednesday expressed confidence in its first-half profits as it reported a 23% yearly rise in revenues net of currency swings, driven by a strong performance its main market Greater China.
INWIT INWT.MI Italy's biggest telecoms tower firm reported on Wednesday 12.8% growth in second quarter total revenues.
FINCANTIERI FCT.MI The Italian shipbuilder posted a first-half net loss of 22 million euros ($24.35 million), much smaller than the loss of 234 million euros a year ago, helped by one-off items of 33 million euros, the group said on Wednesday.
EXPRIVIA XPR.MI Abaco3 said on Wednesday the government would not apply its special vetting rights, or "golden powers" over its bid to take over information technology group Exprivia.
IPO Italian steelmaker Feralpi Group is eying a listing in 2024 after slowing its initial public offering (IPO) plan due to market conditions, its CEO said on Wednesday.
