    Sorry to intrude, but that's not correct.

    L-Max was developed by Strat Met/Lepidico. Sileach was subsequently developed by LIT.

    The primary difference is L-Max can leach Li from phyllosilicates (mica, clay) while Sileach is reported to be able to leach Li from any silicate, including spodumene (Li pyroxene). Currently, extraction of Li from spodumene requires pre-treatment roasting >1150 degrees to crack the crystal structure (alpha to beta), allowing a leachate to dissolve contained lithium. If LIT's tech does indeed remove the need for roasting then spodumene processing costs should fall substantially.
