The Melbourne Mining Club lunch was well attended: 300+?
Dale presented very well; measured, articulate (particularly in Q&A), and authoritative.
Talked about the significant challenges to remain alive during the 2018-2020 downturn.
From a previous exec team of four, to two recently when Ken and CFO Bryan Lynn departed, Dale has rebuilt to currently five, with another addition to be announced shortly. This is obviously vital given the amount of workload that exists based on current assets, let alone the myriad opportunities that lie ahead.
I have only heard good reports about the newly appointed Chief Development Officer, John Stanning, from a few that have had direct experience with him - appears a real coup.
Dale highlighted the relatively short duration of ~ four years from first drill hole to first production for PLS is unlikely to be the standard in the future, particularly in Canada with a less developed mining industry vs WA.
Dale reiterated we are just at the start of a long term positive trend and is clearly confident about the outlook. As am I as we appear in very capable hands.
