Yes I think a lot of platinum investors are more concerned with absolute rather than relative returns, but both are still important. Investors are paying for a low down-market capture with PTM, which should help to preserve their capital (and hopefully outperform the index over the long run). That's not for everyone. I mentioned a while back that I was upset at their low net exposure, but I'm sure some investors don't mind.
