Yes i am an ex employee ( and i have stated that previously ) but i can't quite see where i said i think anything about believing it should be subsidised . Qantas has stood on its own 2 feet for many years and paid appropriate taxes and has given 10's of thousands of people jobs ( they pay taxes too ) . Like it or not Qantas is an Australian icon unlike T-REX who on a percentage basis received a MUCH larger amount of government assistance than Qantas during covid . You might also like to remember that whenever the Ship hits the fan anywhere overseas it is ALWAYS Qantas who runs rescue flights and gets Aussies back home whenever that is possible including flying into potentially dangerous situations . Like it or not Qantas has done more for Australians than any other company that i can think of . ( It has also been a pretty good earner for many mum and dad shareholders too ) .
